Over a decade ago, we found ourselves struggling to locate a facility that we felt we could leave our dogs at to stay while we went on vacation. Although there were several options, we did not feel as if our four-legged family members would be safe in most of them. In addition, we didn’t want to have to keep them confined to a room all day.
After living in the Alpharetta/Johns Creek community for over 15 years, we could only assume that our fellow neighbors were having the same issues obtaining the same pet care services we were. At that point, we ventured out to open our own doggy daycare and boarding facility to meet these needs.
Here we gained valuable knowledge and experience in the pet care industry. With the knowledge we gained and experience as an entrepreneur, we were fortunate enough to establish our state-of-the-art facility, It’s A Dog’s Life Doggy Daycare & Resort. It has been our vision to establish a place your pet deserves.
We have now been a resident of the Alpharetta/Johns Creek area for over 25 years. We have enjoyed raising our two children in this community as well. Both attended Chattahoochee High School in which we have often been supporters of through our other businesses. We are looking forward to establishing new partnerships throughout the community at It’s A Dog’s Life Doggy Daycare & Resort.
Our furry family:
In our family, we range from 20 pounds to 200 pounds. We are talking about our furry family members.
Roo is an eight year old mixed breed dog that was born without her front legs. However, this doesn’t stop her from enjoying life. She loves to sunbathe in the front yard, belly rubs, and her mama, Terry! Although she’s the smallest of the four, Roo rules to roost.
Jake is an eleven and a half year old yellow lab. He is the most laid-back lab you will ever meet. He loves treat time, and his tail never stops wagging. He’s a happy boy!
Foster is a ten year old boxer. He was the naughtiest baby boxer ever. He was always getting in to mischief. However, he matured into a wonderful adult pup and is everybody’s friend.
Carbon is a 200 pound Harlequin Great Dane but truly is a gentle giant. He is well-known around the community, and he has been featured on numerous websites. He’s happiest when sitting on your lap; although he’s not quite a lap dog.
Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that meets canine social, mental, and physical needs, while improving the overall relationships pet parents and dogs share.
